JOIN US FOR AN INFORMATIVE EVENT REGARDING PERSONAL & INTERNET SAFETY
Our January speaker is Officer Jennifer Cook of the Scottsdale Police Department who will be addressing personal and internet safety – plus this would be a great time to get answers to those questions about what it is like to be a female police officer.
Officer Cook has worked for the Scottsdale Police Department for 13 years, most of that time as a patrol officer. In that capacity she is on the road in a patrol car for 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. Officer Cook responds to calls for service which can range from something as basic as debris on the road to an armed robbery in progress. Some of the more common calls are for disturbances, welfare check issues and automobile accidents. If not responding to a call for service, Officer Cook monitors her specific “beat” by close patrols of the area and writing traffic tickets.
Prior to joining the police force, Officer Cook worked 6 years as a juvenile probation officer and prior to that she worked as a legal assistant for various attorneys.
